    Literacy Coordinator Jeanette Garcia helps, from left, Darren Smith, 10, (NM005) 5th grade, and Felisha Patcrio, 11, 6th grade, (NM006) build their vocabulary, by playing "deck of cards" an In-School Literacy program at St. Joseph's Mission School in San Fidel, 60 miles west of Albuqureque, New Mexico. The children were participating in the Small Group Reading Tutorials portion of the program. The program is designed to support a school's efforts to accelerate the literacy achievement of the children reading below grade level.
    Children find entertainment at the Gogolo Play Center in Gogolo, Uganda on the road between Kampala and Entebbe, on a warm Sunday afternoon. The play center is an income generating project for Bega Kwa Bega (Shoulder to Shoulder) a grass-roots organization established to assist orphans and vulnerable children through educational support, food and water security in villages as well as healthcare support in more rural locations around central Uganda.
