Residents of Kamule, Uganda prepare the ground for crops as they learn better growing techniques under guidance of Bega Kwa Bega 's Gerald Kamoga,(BKB/Shoulder to Shoulder). The programs is designed to improve the availabilty of a variety of foods that meet a collection of dietary needs while also creating incomegenerating opportunites. In an effort to improve living conditions, BKB establishes programs that assist village residents with access to schooling, dependable water sources, agricultural opportunity and skills, as well as developing income-generating opportunities.

School children of Kamule in central Uganda collect water for household use from an area bore hole (groundwater well) installed by Bega Kwa Bega, a grassroots organzation founded to improve life for rural orphans and vulnerable children.
